Salonen & Stein: Animagios Suite
Music for a Fantastical World Performed by Oulunsalo Ensemble, Conducted by Jackie Shin
Concert & Video Production
Project Overview
Animagios embodies a collaborative effort by Santte Salonen, Joni Stein, and Erika Hammarberg. Originating from a creative board game, the project has grown into a richly imagined universe, complete with its own in-world languages. Enhanced by the musical talent of Salonen & Stein, orchestral compositions filled with memorable melodies and lush textures bring this captivating realm to life.
Salonen & Stein were featured guests at the Hailuoto Music Festival 2023, where select movements from their Animagios Suite were arranged for string orchestra and performed in the headline concert by Oulunsalo Ensemble, conducted by Jackie Shin. They also presented duo performances in their own concert earlier in the same venue, Hailuoto Church.
