Project Overview
In 2020, the Hailuoto Music Festival expanded its locations to Oulunsalo, recording concerts for online audiences, as live audiences were not allowed. Duo Tulirinta & Elomaa performed composer Markku Koskela’s chamber music suite for cello and piano, Sävelkuvia Iijoen rannalta (Musical Images from the Banks of the Iijoki River), in the atmospheric audiotorium of Oulunsalo-talo (Varjakka-sali).
Markku Koskela describes his music as deeply personal, inspired by his surroundings and a passion for French impressionism and art song. His minimalist compositions capture fleeting moments and personal connections.

My Role & Contributions
As the festival’s technical producer, I organized and recorded the session in high quality, transforming it into a polished online concert experience. Elisa Vesterbacka assisted with the lighting setup and and providing still photography.
