Project Overview
In 2020, when recording concerts for online viewing, the Hailuoto Music Festival extended its reach to Oulunsalo. Three musician friends – Weronika Skowrońska, Oskari Elomaa, and Ewa Pawłowska – performed Julius Eichberg’s trio composition 5 Sketches (5 Skizzen, Op. 23) in an atmospheric recording session held in the audiorium of Oulunsalo-talo (Varjakka-sali).
Julius Eichberg, a German-Jewish composer, moved to the United States and became a respected violin pedagogue. He founded a conservatory in Boston and was a pioneer in North American ensemble performance.
Services Involved
My Role & Contributions
As the festival’s technical producer, I organized the recording session and captured the performances in high quality, crafting them into a polished online concert experience. Elisa Vesterbacka contributed to the production by assisting with the lighting setup and providing still photography.
